Mark Straub is a Lead Scientist at New Iridium.  He leads our CO2-to-chemicals platform, developing photocatalysis processes that convert CO2 into value-added chemicals.  Prior to joining New Iridium, Mark received a PhD in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and a BS in chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His graduate research was co-advised by John Arnold and Stefan Minasian and focused on exploring novel reactivity of actinide coordination complexes and designing new f-block molecules and materials relevant to the nuclear fuel cycle. In his free time, Mark enjoys climbing, skiing, and whitewater kayaking in the mountains.
