New Iridium was selected among the 12 finalists for The 2023 Nature Spinoff Prize. The Spinoff Prize is an award for early stage university spinoff companies from around the world. It gives visibility to academic entrepreneurs and their companies and helps them secure future investment.
Excerpt: New Iridium is decarbonizing the chemical industry using light-driven photocatalysis technology to create low-carbon products at lower cost than incumbent processes. Applications include CO2-to-chemicals and olefin production. Our revolutionary technology uses renewable vs. fossil energy, operates at ambient vs. high temperature and delivers unprecedented energy/material savings. They have also been recently featured on RE:TV, which is one of the sustainability initiatives supported by His Majesty King Charles III.
